Building a solid understanding of basic asset management is the foundation for all asset-dependent organisations.

This module introduces the basic concepts of asset management, assets and the asset portfolio, the role of people in asset management, leadership and the competencies needed for success.

2. Asset Management and the Asset Lifecycle:
This module provides a broad overview of why people and organisations adopt good asset management practices, and the basic stages of the asset lifecycle.

- What the asset life cycle is, and
- An understanding of whole life costs
3. Delivering Asset Management Part 1
This is part 1 of a two-part module and provides an overview of the key practices and processes for delivering asset management.

- Why delivering asset management is important
- How asset management activities are integrated
- The need to consider stakeholders
- The importance of risk management and criticality
4. Delivering Asset Management Part 2
This is part 2 of a two-part module and continues to provide an overview of the key practices and processes for delivering asset management.

5. Asset Management Performance and Benefits
This module has been developed to provide you with an understanding of what good asset management can achieve and how to communicate these benefits to people within an organisation and outside it.

- The importance and role of communication and asset management, and
