The accessibility of asset management learning is integral to what Asset Wisdom do. That’s why we are creating a global network of Partners who can offer our online learning services alongside theirs.
We are therefore delighted to announce a strategic Partnership agreement with the Institute of Asset Management (IAM) and welcome them to our growing network and to open worldwide access to their Foundation Award in asset management.
The Partnership is centred around Asset Wisdom’s ‘Learning as a Service’ offer. This provides the IAM with its own branded web-based portal through which it can market and sell Asset Wisdom’s Foundation Award Course comprising of three online learning modules, reading text and seamless access to the IAM’s Knowledge Test.
Andy Watts, Chief Operating Officer of the IAM said, “Partnering with Asset Wisdom has given the IAM the ability to reach all those in many areas around the globe who are not able to join face to face training to benefit from the course as a personal development opportunity. This initiative aligns fully to the IAM’s ‘Enduring Objectives’ relating to developing the profession of asset management and those within it.
Additionally, being able to offer Continuing Professional Development (CPD) credits on successful completion of the Course under Asset Wisdom’s CPD scheme, as well as receiving the IAM’s Foundation Award, gives learners added value and wider recognition”.
Chris Bradley, Director Commercial and Technical Director said: “In an ever-changing world, organisations are now looking for ways to redefine the ‘new now’ and deliver their core services, where possible, at a distance. We all need to adapt and work together to make these changes a reality for the benefit of society, organisations and their staff.
This is why I am particularly pleased to be working with Andy and IAM in this new partnership as we look to spread asset management knowledge globally digitally in the light of COVID-19 which is creating a paradigm shift that is realigning every system in every industry across the global at once – in an instant.
Asset Wisdom believe online learning can be integral to making the ‘new now’ a success, both in the current climate and in the future. By creating a structured approach to learning and embedding it as an integrated part of service delivery will offer a real step forward and business value”.
About The IAM Foundation Award
The Institute of Asset Management is at the forefront of global thinking in asset management – with 25 years of experience, they have promoted best practice and developed tomorrow’s asset management professionals and decision makers.
The Foundation Award is the perfect place to begin the asset management journey – it gives a common language and understanding of the practice of asset management. It will help you and your company be aware of the core definitions and practices, including what the ISO 55000 standard is and how you can achieve it.
The Foundation Award is aligned to the International Organization of Standards (ISO) 55000:2014 Asset Management System Standards, and is also informed by the Global Forum for Maintenance and Asset Management (GFMAM) AM Landscape and International Infrastructure Management Manual (IIMM) fourth edition (2011).
About Asset Wisdom
In 2014 the Asset Wisdom founders recognised that if the asset management profession was to grow to meet the anticipated demand for asset management competencies and skills created by the launch of ISO 55000 (the international standard for asset management), then new approaches to fulfil this increase in capacity was required.
The catalyst for the new approach was the outcome of a collaborative project that developed a suite of online learning in nine languages, and face to face workshops to support the roll out of Sodexo’s global asset management system aligned to the requirements of ISO55000.
Asset Wisdom was founded out of this experience and harnessed experts in learning, learning technology and asset management. Together, in 2015 we developed and launched our own suite of online asset management learning modules which we have branded as awe!
Today our learning courses are accredited for Continual Professional Development (CPD) and endorsed by The Institute of Asset Management. These are delivered through our technology partner Kineo, one of the City & Guilds Group of companies.
