We understand that introducing asset management into your organisation can be a complex issue. There may be resistance to multi-module training, despite its accessibility, and a lack of understanding of the benefits asset management can bring to your organisation.
To meet our goal of making asset management readily-accessible and more frequently applied, at Asset Wisdom we are delighted to introduce our new foundation course. The course is designed as an introduction to asset management and its principles. It takes the first three modules of the 14-module certificate course to introduce asset management to individuals and organisations at any level.
As well as providing knowledge of the concepts and language of asset management, and the benefits of implementing asset management in your organisation, the course gives an understanding of ISO55000: the international standard for asset management.
Once the three modules have been completed, the course follows with recommended reading to further enhance your knowledge and support course learning. After completing the recommended reading, you’ll be presented with questions for the knowledge test.
This allows you to assess your learning at your own pace. As you’re able to answer the questions online, there’s no test centre to attend. You can self-assess independently at a time and location to suit you.
At the end of the foundation course, you’ll be awarded with a completion certificate to evidence your new knowledge.
Endorsed by IAM, the course is approved by the relevant bodies. Asset Wisdom is an accredited training provider, ensuring you are safe in the knowledge that the course is fully-regulated and stringently tested.
Though ideal to support anyone with an interest in asset management, the foundation course is specifically designed for those involved in, or tasked with learning more about, asset management and its practices. It is also suited to those working in organisations that support an asset management approach, but whose roles are not directly linked to AM – for example, HR and finance managers, as well as other company leaders.
Whatever the organisation, investing in asset management training and staff development increases team productivity and motivation, as well as knowledge and skill.
The course is available from 1st April 2019.
